Attorney General Josh Stein met with Rowan County Emergency Services EMS Chief Edwards, Rowan County Health Department Director Alyssa Harris, and Board of Commissioners Chairman Greg Edds this afternoon to highlight efforts to fight the opioid epidemic and discuss the area’s allocation of the $26 billion in opioid settlement funds. Of the $750M allocated to North Carolina as part of the national opioid settlement, 85% will be distributed to local governments, with more than $15M directed to #rowancountync.
