On Tuesday, March 4, former South Rowan High School standout Haiden Leffew’s current college team, the Wake Forest Deacons, won 14-6 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers.

The game took place at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Mountaineers this season.

The Deacons’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at David F. Couch Ballpark against Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
