Wyant, who was raised in Vale, North Carolina, has dedicated his entire life to livestock and crop farming. He and his wife Linda have been married since 1972, and their entire family is actively involved in farming, including their grandchildren. Over the years, Wyant has expanded his farm and now owns an impressive 1800 acres.

The western side focuses on apple trees, while the eastern coastline focuses on various other agricultural products. The state's commitment to farming has made it a booming industry, with North Carolina producing up to 4 million bushels of apples each year.
In addition to honoring farmers, North Carolina also hosts special events to support and promote agriculture. One such event is the Farmers Fest held every third Saturday in July in Rowan County. This festival features food, crafts, and music, providing a platform for farmers to sell their produce and share their special food with residents. Over the years, Farmers Day in Rowan County has become one of the biggest festivals in the state.
