The Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education named Dr. Lyndsey Pelusi as the new principal of Millbridge Elementary School.
Pelusi has served most recently as principal of North Kannapolis STEM Elementary School since 2019. She worked her way up through the ranks, beginning her career as a teacher assistant and bus driver. She was also a technology assistant, a middle grades English Language Arts (ELA)/social studies teacher and an ELA lead teacher.
Pelusi has extensive administrative experience as a principal, assistant principal and principal intern. She led the transition for North Kannapolis to a STEM school and significantly increased the school’s math and science proficiency scores during her tenure. Moreover, she has been recognized by the North Carolina Principals and Assistant Principals Association (NCPAPA) for distinguished leadership in practice and future ready leadership.
Pelusi obtained a Doctor of Educational Leadership from Wingate University, a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
“I am excited to welcome Dr. Lyndsey Pelusi to Rowan-Salisbury Schools and the Millbridge Elementary School family,” said Interim Superintendent Dr. Jason Gardner. “I am confident her wealth of experience will build upon the strong foundation at Millbridge Elementary as she leads her staff to positively impact student outcomes.”
