Rowan County issued the following announcement on Mar. 8.
The Rowan County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing Monday, March 21, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., or, as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.
The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comments on proposed revisions to the Rowan County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Administration, Article II - Personnel Sec. 2-35 and corresponding Personnel Policy 9.13. The revisions propose to strike the current language that prohibits county employees from service on boards, committees, etc.
