City of Salisbury issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
“Wine About Winter…in flip-flops and tank tops” is returning this summer to Downtown Salisbury on Friday, June 3. Wine connoisseurs throughout the region are invited to tour the wines of Rowan County, North Carolina and beyond during the ninth annual wine-tasting crawl. Typically held in the winter months, the traditional event was postponed in early 2022 due to the rise in the COVID-19 omicron variant.
Participants will sample wines at participating local shops and restaurants throughout downtown from Main to Kerr Streets. Attendees will receive a tasting pass with access to 20 wine samples, a signature Wine About Winter tasting glass, and special Wine About Winter wine carrying bag. Free trolley shuttle services will be provided for quick travel to all locations.
Tickets are $24.50 plus taxes and fees per person in advance and $32 on event day, if not sold out. Tickets previously purchased for the Friday, Feb. 4 wine crawl, can transfer their ticket to the Friday, June 3rd date or receive a full refund. Ticketholders can request a refund by emailing dsiinfo@salisburync.gov or calling (704) 637-7814.

- Walking map
- Wristband and more
In consideration of others and their safety, proper COVID-19 protocols will be place. Attendees should social distance, be mindful of others and the protocols set in place by participating merchants.
