City of Salisbury provides its operation schedule for the 2021 holiday season

City of Salisbury issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.

The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:

City office buildings, including the parks and recreation centers and Salisbury Customer Service Center, will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 27 and on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021.

The city’s public works department will offer its regular garbage and recycling during the holiday season. The department will not offer limb or leaf collection on Thursday, Dec. 23, Friday, Dec. 24, Monday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Dec. 31, 2021.

Salisbury Transit will operate on its regular schedule from 6 a.m. – 7:08 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23 and will operate on a reduced schedule on Friday, Dec. 24 from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. On Monday, Dec. 27, Transit will operate on a regular schedule of 6 a.m. – 7:08 p.m. Transit will operate on a reduced schedule on Friday, Dec. 31 from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will return to a regular schedule on Monday, January 3, 2022.  Saturday Transit service is still temporarily suspended.

Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23, through Monday, Dec. 27 and on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call (704) 638-5339. Customers can access the 24-hour online bill pay service by visiting, salisburync.gov/customerservice.

The Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 25, and will otherwise maintain regular hours of 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

The police and fire departments will remain available for emergency services, as usual, during the holiday.
