Town of Granite Quarry issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
The Town of Granite Quarry Board of Aldermen will hold public hearings on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 7:00 PM or soon thereafter in the Municipal Building located at 143 N. Salisbury Ave in downtown Granite Quarry.
The purpose for these hearings is to receive public comment concerning:
1) a text addition to Chapter 16 of the Town’s Code of Ordinances concerning burials on private property,
2) amendments to the Town’s UDO and tax map concerning deletion of the Historic District Overlay, and
3) a text amendment to the Town’s UDO concerning exempt subdivisions to meet definition of NCGS 160D.

Persons with disabilities and non-English speaking persons needing special accommodations who wish to comment at the hearings must contact the Town Clerk’s office at 704-279-5596 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
