City of Kannapolis issued the following announcement on Aug. 13.
From August 16 to August 20, the Village Park Splash Pad will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday. After August 20 the splash pad will only be open on Saturdays (10 a.m. – 7p.m.) and Sundays (noon-6 p.m.) until after Labor Day weekend when it will close for the season. The splash pad will be open Labor Day Monday, September 6, from noon-6 p.m. Admission is $1.50.
The Village Park Carousel is open daily (10a.m. – 7p.m, Monday – Saturday; and noon – 6p.m., Sunday) through August 22 and will operate on weekends only (10a.m. – 7p.m, Saturdays; and noon – 6 p.m. Sundays) August 28 through October 17. The carousel will be open Labor Day, Monday, September 6, from noon-6 p.m. Admission is $1.50.
Boomer’s Splash Pad at Atrium Health Ballpark is self-operated and will remain open daily through September 30th.
The Rotary Express Train at Village Park remains closed for repairs.
