Town of Landis recently issued the following announcement.

PUBLIC NOTICE - Information For June 30th Special Meeting

Announcement Regarding the Landis Board of Aldermen Special Meeting Scheduled for June 30, 2020

The pubic will take notice that a special called meeting of the Landis Board of Aldermen will be held beginning at 5:00 PM on June 30, 2020 in the Board Room of Landis Town Hall. The purpose of the special called meeting will be to consider the following:

1.     A resolution certifying that the Town of Landis has adopted a Flexible Benefit Plan for the employees of the town pursuant to Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code.

2.     Approval of a contract with Ann R. Craven, CPA, PLLC to perform the Town of Landis Independent Audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020.

3.     Any necessary year end budget amendments.

4.     A closed session of the board under G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3).   

In order to provide for the continued safety and well-being of our citizens, attendance at the June 30th special called meeting will be limited to members of the board of aldermen, interim town manager, finance officer, town attorney, a reporter from the Salisbury Post and department heads as needed. The meeting which begins at 5:00 PM will be available for live or recorded viewing by citizens and interested parties on our You Tube channel. Please note that as it is not a regular meeting, there will be no public hearings or citizen comments on the agenda for consideration. 

To insure compliance with directives related to the Covid-19 virus, the number of attendees directly involved with the meeting will total no more than ten. We will also conform to social distancing and other measures necessary to protect those in attendance.
