Rowan County issued the following announcement on March 19.
The Rowan County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing Monday, April 6, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.
The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comments on proposed revisions to the Rowan County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Administration, Article II Personnel, Division 7 Section 2-138 – Military Leave. The revisions pertain to an increase in the number of hours granted for military training leave. The current ordinance may be found via the following link:
The hearing will be held in the J. Newton Cohen, Sr. Room, located on the second floor of the J. Newton Cohen, Sr. Rowan County Administration Building at 130 West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC.
