On Tuesday, March 4, former Jesse C. Carson High School standout Abbey Nixon’s current college team, the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears, lost 5-2 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Mars Hill Lions.

The game took place at Ponder Field. This was their second matchup against the Lions this season.

The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at McCrorie Family Stadium against Catawba Indians.
